Sandwiched between Aka Saka and Sagar, this workaday Indian-Chinese resto-bar isn’t big on elegance but has the most affordable alcohol in town, with half-price happy hours that run from noon to 10.30pm. Since the regular price of a 650ml Kingfisher is Rs 110, and a peg of domestic spirits just Rs 60, the happy hour works out to be positively ecstatic for its standard crowd of young professionals on a budget. The waiters aren’t chatty but are efficient, the Chinese(ish) fare on offer is perfectly decent, especially the salt-and-pepper prawns (Rs 300), and the murmuring rock-and-pop soundtrack is always recognisable.
