Nehru Memorial Museum and Library has recently introduced Sunday walks in partnership with Knowing Loving Delhi Better – better known as KLoD.B. On Feb 22, the walk heads to an ancient water tank at Surajkund. Explore what is said to be one of the earliest of the eight Dillis, and then walk up to the dam by trudging over the now-dry bed of an earlier lake. The walk on Mar 1 is along the banks of River Yamuna where, while getting a first-hand feel of how we have been mindlessly neglecting and destroying the city’s lifeline, you get to appreciate the multitude of ways in which the river still silently supports us. See the people who continue to live along the banks – pehelwans, boatmen, fishermen and more. A rare chance for you and your kids to capture Delhi’s lifeline in its various moods.
